Dr. Nathan Wuebbels
Dr. Nathan Wuebbels

Nathan A. Wuebbels DMD, MD is a dual degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon who received his dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and is trained in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His comprehensive, 6-year residency training emphasized advanced techniques in orthognathic surgery, management of facial trauma, adult/pediatric general anesthesia, dental implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, distraction osteogenesis, TMJ disorders, facial pain, surgical exposure and the surgical removal of impacted teeth. He has an added interest in facial cosmetics including botulinum toxin injections (Botox), dermal fillers, chemical peels, dermabrasion, blepharoplasties, and facial scar revisions.

In the 8th grade, I was hit in the mouth during gym class, and I lost my front tooth and broke another. As a result, I spent a lot of time at the dentist for the next few years as she restored my smile. The accident made me very socially conscious, and it affected how I felt about myself. What she did for me when she gave me my smile back was invaluable. Since that day I wanted to be able to do the same for someone else, and as a result, anytime someone sits in my chair; I always think back to how I felt when I was in their same shoes.

Mercer Smiles is in-network with most of our patients’ dental insurance plans. Patients who have forgotten or lost their card needn’t worry. Our highly-trained front desk staff will research your policy so you still receive your dental benefits.

Below we’ve listed a number of the typical plans with whom we are in network. Please call our office if you do not see your plan listed here, as we constantly add new plans to our roster so we can best serve the greatest number of patients.
